Team of the Month - 2006
Four Chelsea's players appear this month in the Actim Index Team of the Season to date, to prove the dominance of the Blues in the Barclays Premiership so far. Wigan Athletic's dream continues as the Latics are now aiming to an European spot and this reality is justified with two of their players appearing in this month's best players line-up, Pascal Chimbonda e Jimmy Bullard,

Petr Cech (Chelsea) The Czech Republic goalkeeper has kept 12 clean sheets in 24 appearances this season.

Pascal Chimbonda (Wigan Athletic) The Frenchman has put in a series of performances to help the Latics to virtually guarantee Barclays Premiership survival well ahead of schedule.

Rio Ferdinand (Manchester United) The England defender has bounced back from some mixed early season form to re-establish himself as the key figure in the Old Trafford rearguard, while also being employed as an emergency midfielder by Sir Alex Ferguson.

John Terry (Chelsea) The England international and Chelsea captain has led throughout the campaign, and contributed with two goals as well as being the defensive pillar .

William Gallas (Chelsea) The France international continues to excel across the Chelsea defence, who has now become steady fixture in the Actim Index top 10.

Jimmy Bullard (Wigan Athletic) The midfielder has become critical for Paul Jewell's team, summing up consistently performances to enter the Actim Team of the Season in December.

Frank Lampard (Chelsea) After leading for all the season he has now slipped to second in the Actim Index finding goals hard to come.

Steven Gerrard (Liverpool) Skipper continues to provide the drive and inspiration in the Reds' midfield department and, with seven goals to his credit, is the club's top scorer in the Barclays Premiership.

Matthew Etherington (West Ham United) He is the new entry of the list. The winger is continuing to carve out a reputation for himself as a top performer in the Barclays Premiership by troubling opposition defences with pace and trick skills.

Ruud van Nistelrooy (Manchester United) Striker has taken over from Lampard as the top performer in the Actim Index. The Dutchman continues to terrorise Barclays Premiership defences after well and truly re-discovering his scoring touch this term. Three goals in his last three Barclays Premiership games has seen him move out on his own as top scorer.

Thierry Henry (Arsenal) An happy return for the Gunners skipper who has been sidelined for a portion of the campaign through injury.
